Tips to make your makeup last longer and your face oily-free

How many of you have oily skin or maybe your makeup is gone by the end of the day? Then, you find yourself looking for tissue papers or even using toilet seat cover papers, worst case scenario, to dab the oil out. It’s inconvenient, especially on those long days when you’re running around doing things yet you still have to look put together. It’s frustrating. Here are some tips that have worked for me.

Blotting Sheets:

These babies are you lifesaver. They’re so easy and portable because you can throw them in your purse, wallet, backpack and take them on the go. All you have to do is excuse yourself to the ladies room, whip out a blotting sheet, blot the oil off your face and throw away the sheets. I recommend carrying blotting sheets if you plan on having a long day or doing a lot of activities that will make you break out a sweat. You can find them anywhere, such as Ulta.

Powder:

Powder works great to set your T-Zone after applying your makeup because those are the most oily area. You can also carry your powder but depending on the brand and size, it may not be as compact and portable. There are some really great brands for an inexpensive price like Maybelline’s FIT ME! Matte + Poreless Powder, which you can find at Target.

Setting Spray:

Setting spray not only helps with oil control but keeping your makeup on. If you had a long day and you’re planning on going out later that night, it works wonders to spray your face after you apply your makeup. Even though your face will eventually get oily, it won’t be as quick and you can easily control the shine with blotting sheets. I recommend Urban Decay’s line of setting spray. Each one is tailored to your specific needs.
