Festival season is finally here! Not only is the atmosphere such good vibes but the outfits, accessories, and makeup looks are fun to create. You can express your style, music, confidence through your makeup look. Some opt for an over the top and trendy look and others opt for a more natural look. It depends on your style and personality. We’ll touch on some of the most common festival makeup looks and how to maintain it so you can get the best picture perfect shot for your social media accounts.
Coming back from Coachella, I saw many different types of makeup looks. There were bare faces, natural looking, simple, heavy eye makeup, highlighted looks, and over the top looks. I came to the conclusion that many of those looks had one or more or these elements:
- Bright colors/eyeshadows
It can be hard to constantly touch up your makeup throughout the day while you’re out in the sun having so much fun. Here are a few tips to keep your makeup last-longing with little touch ups.
- Bring a compact mirror so you can touch up. Not every porta potty will have a small mirror in there and sometimes your phone can’t do the justice with the selfie lens.
- Bring chapstick. Your lips will get dry and lipstick looks much better and smooth when applied over chapstick.
- Wear waterproof mascara and eyeshadow primers. They are your best friend when you are sweating, running and dancing to the music. It will help to keep those bright eyeshadows on and prevent the mascara from running.
- A good setting spray goes hand in hand with the two previous items because it also helps to lock in the makeup. It’s crucial, especially if you’re wearing the stick on gems and falsies.
